Hi
Does your sweet 16 have a theme or do you have a fave color etc?
You should put away anything thats easy to break. As when there are lots of people things can get knocked over etc. So hide anything breakable or precious.
Get lots of ballons and tie them on curtain poles. Put in corners etc. Big bunches of balloons make a house party look great,
Decorate the table nicely. Add little bits of sweet 16 confetti and colored tableclothes etc.
You can buy sweet 16 banners so maybe get some of them and put them up on the walls.

The first thing that popped into my head that would not be very expensive and would totally glam up a room are PINK Christmas type lights..or even the wire lights.. You could put it along the ceiling, around a door/window
Also for tables, get a big plastic/glass sturdy bowl (the clear kind), fill it with water and get some pink floating candles..like stars or hearts…I did that for my wedding and it looked really pretty. And I added some confetti and it sparkled…I also put some around the bowl on the table itself.
